PatchaMima
Patchamima is a fashion artist who provides unique patches, tapestries, and handmade wearable items using up-cycled and ethically sourced fabrics and materials.
I worked as a Product Designer to define, create and build the Patchammima as a unique brand, service, and product. As a team, we identify the business goals by collaborating side by side with the artist, Naima Sudjian-Carlisle. We help the stakeholder to build the brand identity and ideate the logo. We conducted User Research to know more about the target user and expand the user group with new possible customers. Based on the result of our research, we define two specific personas and user's needs by creating some user flows. We analyzed the market and described some competitive analysis. Starting from target users and studying similar products in the market, we came up with a specific package of services and essential elements to put on the website. After defining the architecture information based on the cart sorting result, we describe the site map. We create a prototype by using wireframing, and we test with five users. After finalizing the design and making some user flow adjustments, we finally build the website using Squarespace.

Problem Statement
What problem are we trying to solve?
How do we know this is a real problem?
Why is it important to solve?
Who are our users? What are their goals and motivations?
How will we know if we’ve solved the problem?
Unfortunately, on Etsy, the user may find a similar product with different prices, which created some difficulty in retaining customers. And so for this reason, we decided to take advantage of her popularity on social media to promote her website.
Due to the pandemic, most users didn't feel safe to meet the artist to decide on a specific design and try the final product. We came up with the solution to provide a Zoom video call for any customized item and send by mail any garment to try on. Thanks to the new service, the artist could expand her group of costumer even outside of the Bay Area.
